OK, so the last issue was April 3 but it really did contain an April Fool's joke in our column. Author Robert Munsch is NOT coming to Unity Public School.

OK, so the last issue was April 3 but it really did contain an April Fool's joke in our column. Author Robert Munsch is NOT coming to Unity Public School. Instead it is the puppet group, Wide Open, who perform Robert Munsch material that is going to be at the school. Yikes. It was as much of a joke on me, folks, as it was me relaying the information to you. I apologize and now on to the rest of this column.

Easter is coming up real fast! Let's hope it's a snowless Easter this year.

Do you love your local museum? Are you one of the many people who have used these fabulous grounds for photo opportunities, or attended a Canada Day event, or brought guests for a visit when they came to town? Players and coaches are antsy to get on the diamonds but the town has reminded players to stay off until the venue dries up more so as not to damage it. In addition to regular practices, minor ball is hosting Softball Fever camp with instructors coming out from Softball Sask to help with skills and drills for the girls.

Coffee row talks of a variety of topics these days including weather predictions, hopes for the upcoming Rider season, spring seeding theories and solutions for the never-ending grain backlog/transportation issues plaguing our ag sector. Many are reminiscing about the massive flooding we saw in Alberta, in addition to some roads very close to us that experienced flooding, last year at this same time. So you see we keep busy in Unity with activities and wisdom from our friends on coffee row. Until next week.
