New Year's Eve at Maymont Seniors' Center was a great event again this year. Family and friends gathered to bring in the New Year, enjoying games, entertainment and a potluck lunch. Thanks to everyone who attended.
Looking back on the months gone by, as a new year starts and an old one ends, we contemplate what brought us joy. And we think of our loved ones and our friends, recalling all the happy times, remembering how they enriched our lives. We reflect upon who really counts, as the fresh and bright new year arrives.
And when we ponder those who do, we immediately think of you. Thanks for being one of the reasons we'll have a happy new year.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Thelma Patterson who passed away Dec. 20.
A come and go tea will be held Saturday to celebrate the 95th birthday of Sarah Beaudoin. This event will be held at the seniors' center from 2 to 4 p.m. Come celebrate this great event.
There are only 23 days left until our first fundraiser for Telemiracle 37. This event will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 10801 - Winder Cres. in North Battleford Sunday, Jan. 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome. It will be an afternoon of gospel music featuring Car-Mel Country, The Eberles, Gill Brothers, John Archer and Friends and Carl Ross and the Good Old Boys.
Donations will greatly be appreciated and will be presented in Saskatoon at Telemiracle.
