Bingo was played at the Maidstone Drop In Centre May 2 with Margaret MacEachern and Joan Smith doing the calling. The loonie pot was won by seven people so was left to accumulate. Lunch was provided by Dorothy Schwartz.

The monthly meeting was held May 4 with Margaret MacEachern in the chair. A full page ad in The Mud brought us four new members. The 25th anniversary of the opening of the Centre June 2 was arranged. A Father's Day Tea will be hosted June 15. A bake table, raffle door prize and Father's Day prize for men only will be arranged. It was decided to reduce the quantity of the Grey matters paper to be received. There was a district SSAI meeting at Livelong May 15. The date for the May-June potluck birthday luncheon will be June 22 at noon. The next monthly meeting day will be June 1. Lunch was served and provided by Vera Hintz.

The card game 500 was played June 7 with Jean Stewart and Margaret MacEachern hosting and providing lunch. High score went to Ray Hartman and low to Lil McMillan.

May 14, Kaiser was played at the centre with Bev Stewart supplying lunch. High score went to Milt McMillan and low to Bev Stewart.

Corrections for last week's news: An inch of rain and two inches of wet snow greened up the lawns (not "greased"). Omitted was the word "crocus," which came up early and froze off before blooming.

Many farmers have their wheat are waiting for a while before seeding canola.

Most lawns have been cut once and gardens cultivated ready for planting.
