Another year has come and gone for the Battlefords Photo Club. The year, albeit quick, was another success for the club, with new members and new ideas brought to the table.
These new ideas brought a mentor series, which saw professional photographers from the surrounding area facilitating educational sessions for the members. Another new concept was the addition of novice photography sessions, which were held after the meetings, to give members relatively new to photography a chance to get help mastering their cameras.
Each meeting also presented the chance to enter the monthly photo challenge, with themes such as crystallized, transparent, and extreme digital manipulation.
The photo club also put on three photo shows; the fall and spring shows as well as a show in the Chapel Gallery.
The next meeting will be Sept. 1 at the Allen Sapp Gallery (rear entrance) at 7 p.m. Bring your cameras and come enjoy a fun evening with the Battlefords Photo Club! Everyone is welcome.
