Music icon tours in October

Regina born Colin James has come a long way since his self- titled debut album in 1988. Since that time he has amassed numerous awards and a string of hits that has propelled James to icon status category in Canada.

Regina born Colin James has come a long way since his self- titled debut album in 1988.

Since that time he has amassed numerous awards and a string of hits that has propelled James to icon status category in Canada.

Songs like Man's Gotta Be Stone, Voodoo Thing, Into the Mystic, Lost Again, Keep On Loving Me Baby, Let`s Shout and many more have helped James secure a solid following of fans in North America.

He has won six Juno awards, 18 Maple Blues Awards including Entertainer of the Year for 2012 and several of his albums have reached gold and platinum status. His newest CD is Twenty Five Live recorded on the last of a three-night sold out stand at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver.

James spans many musical genres from blues to rock, R and B to swing, and fans will hear them all on his latest Western Canada Tour.

The Alberta -Saskatchewan leg of the tour runs from Oct. 21 to 26, with Alberta stops in Camrose, Fort Saskatchewan, Fort McMurray and Lloydminster, before coming to North Battleford Oct. 26.

According to promoters, these concerts will be up close and personal acoustic shows. Fans will be treated to James performing his hits and standards in an intimate acoustic setting featuring guitar chops and great vocals. James is joined by special guest and master guitarist Chris Caddell.

One fan described it best when he said, it will be like sitting in your living room having Colin and Chris playing and singing.

Tickets for these dates are available the week of Aug, 25 at the Bailey Theatre in Camrose, the Shell Theatre in Fort Saskatchewan, the Keyano Theatre in Fort McMurray, the Vic Juba Theatre in Lloydminster and the Dekker Centre in North Battleford.
