Museum hosts whist drive

Radisson Royal Purple members and Radisson Co-op have been selling tickets for PEACE 100 and sent in 10 sold books for the draw Jan. 29 in Saskatoon. Roberta Harris and Lorraine Olinyk are also selling $50 tickets for the Children's Hospital Foundation/Sask. Elks Foundation with first prize of $50,000 and total cash prizes of $98,000. The draw is Oct. 15. Six tickets were sold for the first early bird draw of $1,000 Jan. 29 in Saskatoon and next early bird draw for $1,000 is June 11.

The members will also be selling charity appeal tickets for $2 each or three for $5 with an early bird prize of $500 May 18. The main draw for a total of $25,500 is June 11.

Condolences go to the family of one the lodge's long time members, Merilyn Bischler, who passed away Jan. 20 at the age of 88 years. Merilyn was a member for more than 30 years and a life member since 2003 with her dues paid by the lodge. The last six years she had been living at Porteous Lodge in Saskatoon.

Congratulations go to Jack and Chyanne Werezak of Radisson on the birth of Tayvin Jax, Jan. 5. He is a brother for Darby. Grandparents are Mary Werezak of Radisson and John and Delores Hawkins of Maymont.

Born to Shaun and Donna Barth of Borden Jan. 5 was a son, Jaden Levi. He is a brother for Tyler. Grandparents are Alvin and Audrey Barth of Radisson.

Newcomers to Borden district are Rod Freve, Marsha Loessl and her son Dorion who is in Grade 7 at Borden School.
