The Maidstone Museum members and invited guests held their annual Christmas party at the seniors' centre Jan. 21.

The evening started with a delicious potluck supper and the blessing given by president Bill McGilvery. Tables were tastefully decorated for the holiday meal by two board members, who also supplied European chocolate bars at every place setting. The evening entertainment started out with cowboy poetry done by Scotty Wiltermuth including A Cowboy's Christmas Prayer.

Following this, a hilarious themed gift exchange took place. Then door prizes were drawn for and the Yellowhead Ramblers orchestra supplied music for dancing or just listening and toe tapping.

Maidstone and District Historical and Cultural Society is beginning its 25th year. Both old and new events with be forthcoming.
