Movie night conveys anti-bullying message

MAIDSTONE — Cribbage was played at the Maidstone Drop In Centre May 14 with high score going to Dorothy Schwartz, and low to Bev Stewart, who supplied lunch.

Water barrels are set up to catch rain water and the tulips are in bloom.

Bingo was played May 16 with Joan Smith and Margaret MacEachern doing the calling. Prior to bingo the April, May, June birthday lunch was held with 12 seniors attending. 

May 18 was movie night with 38 attending. The movie was In Order, a movie every family should see. Depicted were the wide-reaching effects bullying has on the person who is "different" and family and friends.

Cribbage was played May 21 with high score going to Bev Stewart and low to Jean Hartman. Lunch was provided by Denise Newton. Bingo was played May 23 with Joan Smith and Bev Stewart doing the calling. The toonie pot went to Dorothy Schwartz. Lunch was provided by Verda Mitchell.

A celebration of life was held at the centre for Frances and Delores Byrnes May 26. Delores was better know as Raddy and her maiden name was Huxley.
