Mission team works in Costa Rica

The John Paul II Mission Team travelled to Costa Rica Feb. 17 to complete projects in an aboriginal reserve. The team is building a soccer field for the community's children, doing traditional farming, as well as restoring a community centre.

The John Paul II Mission Team travelled to Costa Rica Feb. 17 to complete projects in an aboriginal reserve.

The team is building a soccer field for the community's children, doing traditional farming, as well as restoring a community centre. The team will also be holding a dental class of sorts, that will teach the community how to properly clean their mouths with toothbrushes and floss.

The JPII Mission team will also be heading to inner city San Jose to participate in a program called Bread for my Brothers, where they will be baking fresh bread for the poor and homeless.

Besides the major mission trip, the team participates in multiple local projects. The group is filled with plenty of energetic and friendly students, staff and alumni from John Paul II Collegiate.
