Mild weather makes for Christmas travels

Dec. 28: The beautiful weather had everyone away for Christmas. Milt and Lil McMillan spent Christmas at the home of their daughter, Darlene and Gary Robb.

Theresa Kennedy went to the home of her daughter, Kim and Jackie Gerbig, Christmas morning for gift opening and the in the evening for supper. Grandsons Kade Kennedy of Edmonton and Lief Kennedy of Lloydminster were also there.

Colleen Koski is now on the mend after a lengthy bout with the flu.

Dorothy Kissick was at her daughter Cindy's in Unity for Christmas and spent Boxing Day with her son Larry and family.

Audrey Bertrand was with his daughter Laurie for Christmas Day.

Thelma Lundell was a guest with her niece Beverley and Dwayne Lyons for Christmas.

Congratulations to Eva Inkster who celebrated her 91st birthday Dec. 24. Christmas Day was spent with Terry and Sandy Greggson with all the family. She enjoyed it all.

Tillie Linkert spent Christmas at Loon Lake for their camping Christmas with all the family. They had a great time ice fishing, skating, quading and playing hockey. It was a great time with great weather.

Jean Stewart was with Marion and Bill Stoughton for Christmas with all the Stoughton family. A great time was enjoyed. Boxing Day, Morris and Maureen Stewart stopped on their way to Yorkton. They were coming back Tuesday to spend the night with Jean before returning to Edmonton.

I had the pleasure of having my daughter Hazel from Saskatoon and son Duncan MacEachern of Marsden join me for Christmas Day. Duncan returned home that evening and Hazel returned to Saskatoon Thursday.

Christmas 2011 is over and we are now looking forward to the New Year. May everyone one have a happy, peaceful year in 2012.

Dec. 21: Dorothy Kissick has had a busy week. Wednesday and Thursday she was in Neilburg where her great-grandchildren took part in the Christmas concert. Jodi and Rayelle Kissick and children were here Saturday and took her out to dinner. Sunday Shawna and Wayne were in to visit.

Audrey Bertrand was to her grandchildren's Christmas concert Tuesday evening. Audrey will be spending Christmas Eve at her son's and Christmas Day at her daughter's.

Sympathy to the Meynberg family on the passing of Dick Meynberg yesterday.

Jean Stewart was happy to have her friend Eva Rayner of North Battleford spend the afternoon with her.

Tillie Linkert had her grandson Jarred and Jane Gabruch of Calgary stop to see her. They were on their way to the cabin to spend Christmas. They brought her a nice bouquet of flowers.

Theresa Kennedy has a few visitors: Scott and Darlene Kennedy of Lloydminster, Jackie Gerbig and girls and Sam and Barb, who came and took her around to see the Christmas lights. She says there are some beautiful displays.

Jean Stewart and I enjoyed the Christmas supper at the Legion Sunday. The children really enjoyed Santa Claus.
