Meota Hobby Band hilarious entertainment

Hi there, I don't think we feel very sorry to the last of June. Most of the month was cloudy, cool and rainy. However our sympathy and heartfelt feelings go out to the people in Alberta who are suffering through such terrible flooding.

Hi there, I don't think we feel very sorry to the last of June. Most of the month was cloudy, cool and rainy. However our sympathy and heartfelt feelings go out to the people in Alberta who are suffering through such terrible flooding. It makes ys realize how lucky we are, so far, in Saskatchewan.

We seem to keep busy here in the Tower. We were so happy to have the Meota Hobby Band come and entertain us one afternoon. We not only enjoyed their music and singing but the "big buxom blonde" who came on to all the men in the lounge here was hilarious. They certainly kept us all laughing. We'd love to have them come again.

We love to eat here, too. There was comments made "was that all we did?" I just know that we all get tired of our own cooking sometimes. So everyone enjoyed potluck June 7. There was such a great variety of tasty dishes.

Second to None cater for us at least once a month. They make such delicious meals. So guess we do eat a lot here alright.

We celebrated our birthday party for May and June on June 17. Seated at the head table for May were Theresa Berton, Edith Lockhart, Bernice Laughton, Shirley Williams and Bep Wyatt. Those celebrating birthdays in June are Anne Loades, Vivian Bertsch, Delia Thunderchild and Judy Slind. Congratulations to you all.

We were so glad to have the Nifty Fifties entertain us. The gals sang many of our old favourites. They have such great voices, so we do hope we can get them to come again,

The evening ended with a delicious desert and some visiting.

Some of our tenants also had company come in June. Anna Storgard had her brother and sister-in-law from Prince George come and visit. I'm sure it was nice seeing them, Anna.

Edith Lockhart enjoyed a visit from a niece who lives in Vancouver. Hope you had a great time together, Edith.

Anne Loades was so pleased to have her son from Edmonton come and help celebrate her 95th birthday. Unfortunately Anne has fallen a couple of times recently, so she is in respite in Edam. All the best to you, Anne, we're thinking of you.

Vivan Bertsch had her nephew Larry and his family travel from Calgary to see her. I'm sure you had a wonderful visit, Vivian.

Ida Baker celebrated Father's Day with her daughter and son-in-law from North Battleford. Her grandson and family were present. It's always a lovely time to get together, Ida.

Mary Birch is going out to Nanaimo, B.C. to visit her daughter in July. Hope the weather is nice and that you have a great time together, Mary.

We do have newcomers moving into the Tower recently. So far I don't know all their names, but I'm sure we'll get acquainted over the summer.

My next report will be in September, so have a great summer, everyone.
