Fifteen Rivers' Edge Quilters met March 7 for their monthly meeting. Some lucky people were still away holidaying.

We discussed various items including future projects and our year end windup supper. After the business part of the meeting was over we were delighted with the important show and share. Heather, Arlene, Irene and Leslie displayed their quilt tops from our quilting marathon.

Darlene and June showed their finished quilts and paper dolls.

The Rivers' Edge Quilters are well known for their exquisite quilts, however we have a strong community portion that many are not so familiar with.

Several members give sewing lessons to women from the Mental Health Association.

Comfort quilts, pillows and pillow cases are made for those in need and are distributed through the Battefords Food Bank.

We also made quilt tops for the victims of the High River and Calgary flooding. Even our furry friends over at the humane society have received mats and blankets.

So if you are looking for something to do on a Thursday or Friday come over to the Don Ross Centre and join us. We are always looking for new members.
