Well here's my yearly report on the Living Sky School Division Students' Hall of Fame dinner and awards celebration held June 12. To mention one in particular, who was our Maymont valedictorian, Jesse Greenslade won an athletics award for senior boys' soccer.
Other award winners were: Alex Batten, athletics - senior boys' soccer; Aliyah Wasmuth, academic excellence "Great Distinction;" Arielle Hamp, academic excellence; Autumn Amson, athletics - track and field; Brayden Harris, athletics - senior boys' soccer; Carlee Hamilton, academic excellence "Great Distinction;" Conner Rothenburger, athletics -senior boys' curling; Connor Garrett, athletics - senior boys' soccer; Darby Milman, academic excellence; Jan Friesen, academic excellence "Great Distinction;" Jocelyn Bzdel, athletics - track and field; Jordan Manson, athletics - senior boys' soccer; Justin Whitehead, athletics - senior boys' soccer; Kathryn Serhienko, academic excellence; Kcarli Maxwell, leadership, Student Leadership Council president; Marco Rodriguez, athletics - senior boys' soccer; Matthew Favel, athletics - senior boys' soccer; Natasha Pickering, academic excellence; Richie Acaster, athletics - senior boys' curling and senior boys' soccer; Sean Brehon, academic excellence, athletics - senior boys' soccer; Ty Fouhy, athletics - senior boys' curling and senior boys' soccer; and Tyson Wawryk, athletics -senior boys' curling and senior boys' soccer.
The three "Great Distinction" academic awards to Aliyah Wasmuth, Carlee Hamilton and Jan Friesen required an average of 95 per cent or higher. Congratulations to all.
Special guest was Natalie Krill, an actress who is an NBCHS alumna.

Condolences to the family of Leonard Voegeli. A tea was held for Leonard in Ruddell June 14 to celebrate his life. Leonard will be sadly missed by all. Our thought and prayers are with Leonard and the family. Rest in peace.
