Many visited with family over Easter

Hi, folks. Hurrah! The sun is shining after so many cloudy days. Now I hope that means "April showers will bring May flowers." Have to wait and see, I guess. Many of our tenants spent Easter with their families.

Hi, folks. Hurrah! The sun is shining after so many cloudy days. Now I hope that means "April showers will bring May flowers." Have to wait and see, I guess.

Many of our tenants spent Easter with their families. Bev and Murray McCrimmon had Easter dinner with daughter Karen and son-in-law Brad, who is our milkman, in Battleford.

Mary Birch is enjoying a visit with her daughter from Nanaimo, B.C. They visited Mary's other daughter Linda and Rick for Easter out at Travessa Beach. Hope you had a good time together, folks.

Shirley Tebay attended her great-granddaughter Sadie Tebay's first birthday party at Lloydminster, Easter weekend. They had a lovely supper which included a chocolate birthday cake. Shirley said, "You should have seen Sadie's face!"

They also went to son Dennis and Juliette's at Metinota for an afternoon and a delicious supper. Their son Greg and Jeralyn and two daughters, Laura and Jill, were home from Warman so had a good visit.

Shirley says she just got her new great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Hanna. She went to Meota Saturday to son Dale and Joyce's as son Douglas and Terri from Devon, Alta., are visiting there.

It sounds like you had a lovely time will all of your family, Shirley.

Ada Pasutto motored to her daughter Joy's for Easter. There were Carol and Brian Morrison, their children Raina from Moose Jaw and Kallin from Saskatoon and their two wee daughters - Shirley's two great grand-ones. Her daughter Carla and her three children weren't at Joy's and Dutch's but had Easter with Carla's dad in Camrose, Alta.

You must have had a wonderful visit with everyone, Ada.

Ida Baker had her sister and nephew from Biggar visiting her April 7. On Easter Sunday Ida helped with the breakfast here in the lounge. After that she went to her daughter and son-in-law's and great-grandson's place for supper. Her grandson and family from Battleford were also there. Ida says it's nice to have everybody together. I agree too.

Ida arranged to have Frank Erwin and Miss Lora for entertainment, April 25. There was a good turnout and everyone enjoyed them.

Ann Ewanchuk's cousin passed away April Fool's Day - not a fun day for her. He would have been 94, May 5.

Ann is always a busy lady. The women's association members had a work bee in the church. In the evening she attended the volunteer appreciation night at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Sorry to hear Ann's friend Jeanie, who lives in the same Tower, fell and hurt her chin on the cement.

Loving hockey, Ann was glad that her daughter Erinka and Rory drove her to two North Stars games.

Ann attended a church service followed by a pancake breakfast for all the parishioners and especially for the children and parents who are newcomers from Ukraine. Anne went with her in-laws, Roy and Doris Jordan, to a Nashville stars night. Doris sang a number of songs and Ann was lucky to win a door prize.

Son Orest and wife Chris attended her great-grandchild's birthday party. The party was for little Harley Ewanchuk, daughter of Nickolas and Carrie.

I enjoyed Easter Sunday with my son Deryk from Saskatoon, my daughter Darlene and son-in-law David from Battleford at a special brunch at the casino. They had a delicious variety of every food imaginable. I don't think any of us would want much supper after such a feast.

My daughter surprised me with a lovely tea for my 90th birthday April 27. Many of my friends came to help me celebrate. It was a wonderful time. The way I was wined and dined, I wouldn't mind being 90 again. (Just kidding, folks.) I also received flowers, cards and luncheons with friends. Thank you all.

Get well wishes go out to Bob Sarrasin who is in Saskatoon hospital now. Do hope you get better soon, Bob, and will be able to come home again.

I understand Joan Blixrud will not be coming back here. She has not been well for some time. She is a very lovely lady so we will all miss her around here.

Our neighbour on the 9th floor is moving out. This is John Hyde and he is a great cook. I think everyone will miss the goodies he makes for us all. John, we hope you're happy in your own home.

That is all the news for now. Do hope you gals all had a happy Mother's Day. Until next time, see you then.
