City of North Battleford Historic Archives invites the public to attend the annual City of North Battleford Historic Archives Week display and information booth on Thursday, Feb. 6 from noon until 5 p.m. at the Frontier Mall and Saturday, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Territorial Place Mall.
"The focus of the display will be the life of our community in the past," said City Archivist Tammy Donahue Buziak. "The Way We Were will look at historical clothing, furniture, sports, entertainment, and leisure activities. We will also feature a short display on North Battleford's 2013 Centennial year celebrations."
The City of North Battleford Historic Archives collects historic papers, documents and photographs depicting the history of the city and is dependent on citizens for material. The Archives Week presentation gives the committee members an opportunity to thank all who have already contributed and an opportunity to invite citizens of North Battleford to donate material to the archives.
The presentation informs the public of the existence of the archives and the committee's role in preserving historical North Battleford documents and photographs.
