On Thursday, May 23, at 7 p.m., the hospital auxiliary hosted talks and information on ticks and Lyme disease. One speaker was Dr. Nsungu, the medical official of this health region. Gayle and Barry Golden spoke on their journey through Lyme disease when their son was infected. Dr. Doug Weir, a vet from Lloydminster, spoke on the effects of ticks on farm animals and pets. Thank you goes to our local pharmacy for setting up an interesting and informational display on ticks, protection and protective products and the proper removal of ticks. Lunch was served at the end of a most interesting and informative evening.
