Members of the N.B. Senior Citizen Action Now Club are still lamenting the loss of one of its most active and dedicated members, Mary Dyck, who passed away July16. Mary spent many hours at the centre every day enjoying the games of Kaiser, cribbage and canasta but also the companionship of her many friends. She was always willing to assist when anything needed to be done and spent 13 years as the club's valued treasurer. Her presence has certainly been missed in many ways.

A July picnic, consisting of cards, bingo and supper was held recently and enjoyed by approximately 40 members. Members who have birthdays in July and August will be honoured at a ham and potluck luncheon on Aug. 14 followed by an afternoon of Kaiser.

An evening Kaiser tournament is held the first Friday of every month at 7:30 p.m. and is open to anyone who enjoys an evening of fun. Winners of the Aug 2 tournament were Marg Kemp, Jean Smith and Doreen Hagen. Door prize winner was Eileen Kerslake.

The monthly members meeting will be held Aug. 19 at 1:30pm and all members are encouraged to attend and assist the club in the election of a new treasurer.
