Lodge supports fire victims

The lodge voted to give gift certificates valued at $1,000 each to the two local families who lost their homes to fire.

Catering events were reported. This is the lodge's main source of income. The ladies work hard to bring in revenue enabling the group to assist whenever called upon. Another fundraiser is the yearly Ladies' Night Out. Plans for the May 4 event are mostly in place and the evening promises good entertainment. Tickets will be sold on a diamond ring. These tickets, as well as, event tickets are available at St. Walburg Building Supplies, Kim's Service and Tru Hardware.

The nominating committee will be presenting a list of proposed officers for 2013-14 at the next meeting. Installation of new officers to be at the May meeting.

Lady Helperl presented Lady Helen Harris with her 15-year pin and Ladies Lin Hallett and Lynn Clare with five-year pins. Sympathy of the lodge to Georgina Schneider and Dolores Volk on their recent bereavement.

Members sang Happy Birthday to Rosemarie Veenstra, Jenny Looshorn and Terry Krzak this month.
