Vegas is calling and fashion designer Melissa Squire, is responding with a whole lot of "badass pretty!"

The Saskatoon-based fashion designer has been invited to do a runway show at Viva Las Vegas, the biggest Rockabilly Party in the world.

The 17th annual event sells out every year with 20,000 plus in attendance and is a must for those interested in Rockabilly culture around the world. It will be held from April 17 to 20 at the Orleans Hotel and Casino.

Festivities include performances by 50 Rockabilly bands - some travelling from as far away as the United Kingdom, Japan and Italy, a car show featuring over 800 pre-1964 period cars, a burlesque show, other special events and, of course, a fashion show.

Squire's fashions will be on the runway alongside American rockabilly and pin-up designers including Lucy B., May Mac, Swearing Parrot, Good Rocking Daddy, Miss L-Fire and Australian Designer, Retrospec'd.

There isn't a better event than Viva Las Vegas for Squire to debut her latest collection, Vegas Vixens. Inspired by the glory days of Las Vegas's Fremont Street, the Vegas Vixens collection celebrates the glitz and glamour of it all but with Squire's own badass pretty, punk-rock twist.

It's not the first time, the North Battleford-born designer has received international attention. In 2012 she participated in Brooklyn Fashion Week and in 2013 she was invited to include items in the Oscars' Swag Bags which are handed out to all the hottest celebrities at the award show.

Squire is pleased to be bringing a crew of Saskatoon models to wear her fashions on the runway at Viva Las Vegas. Also accompanying Squire, is her business partner, co-owner of Alchemy Clothing & Salon, hairstylist Sara Whyte and Vamp Make-up's Jennilee Cardinal-Schultz to help prep the models for the runway show.

Can't make it to Vegas for the debut of Vegas Vixens? You can follow Squire's exciting debut at Viva Las Vegas on Facebook by 'liking' Alchemy Clothing and Salon and following @melissasquire on Instagram #VegasVixens #VivaLasVegas #MelissaSquireDoesVegas
