Doug Johnston was the winner of the raffle for a grocery hamper. Shuffleboard was played in the morning with Mary Graham and Marlene Washenfelder teaming up for the A side win. Vonnie Rutherford and Les Christensen were the runners up. On the B side, Irene Ducherer and Rose Leitheiser were the victors with Edith Christensen and Anne Ducherer close behind. High players in the afternoon Cribbage were Laurel Weiss and Arlene McAleer. Bob Goodfellow and Les Christensen had the low hands.

Students at Neilburg Composite School participated in some fun activities Dec. 20, the last day of classes prior to the Christmas break. The children in Grades 1 through 4 went skating for an hour in the morning. The Grade 5 and 6 class went bowling instead of skating. After their exercise, the children were served a ham and perogie luncheon, compliments of the SRC.
