Local tournaments were played this summer on the lawn bowling greens in North Battleford. Margaret Fedun emerged as the winner of the Ladies' Singles defeating three women then playing Lorna McLean twice to vanquish her to second place. Jean Seib took third place.
Vernon Iverson had an easier journey to secure Men's Singles' first place since there were fewer opponents to overcome. Mel Walker took second place, with Lloyd How in third.
The Triples tournament involved more players so took longer to complete.Â
Yvonne Macpherson, Margaret Fedun and Mel Walker, the winning team, triumphed over the team of Rita Peterson, Marie Bruynooghe and Lloyd How. Coming in third was the team of Eleanor Leverton, Lorna McLean and Vernon Iverson.
