HRL Georgina Schneider called St. Walburg Royal Purple March 10 meeting to order at 8 p.m.

Members were informed Saskatchewan has 821 Royal Purple members and this year will be celebrating 100 years in Canada. We were saddened to hear of the death of a former member, Cathy Smith.

The provincial conference in Moose Jaw June 12, 13 and 14 is quickly approaching, as well as, the national conference July 15, 16 and 17 in Airdrie, Alta. Any member wishing to attend should contact the secretary soon.

Rose bowls were sent to Jenny Looshorn and Dianne Lalonde and we wish a speedy recovery to Maryanne Kurjata.

Things are coming together for the ladies' night out and tickets for a diamond ring will be on sale soon. Ladies, make sure to mark May 3r on your calendar.

Secretary Thelma Romphf and Sandra Gordon designed "helper pins" to be worn by non-members who choose to help Royal Purple when needed. This is a way of recognizing their efforts. May is the month officers are installed for 2014-15 term. Judy Helperl and Helen Harris were named to bring forth names at the April meeting of those willing to accept offices.

Congratulations to Lynn Pierson who received her 10-year pin. We sang Happy Birthday to Jenny Looshorn and pianist Rosemarie Veenstra.

Marie Peterson, Peggy Bull and Rosemarie Veenstra are named for April, May and June lunch committee. Present lunch committee treated us to fresh home baking to go with coffee.
