Since 2005, the students and staff of École Monseigneur Blaise Morand have taken part in the annual Terry Fox School Walk, and have raised a total of $6,345.87.

A goal of $1,000 was set for this year's walk, Sept. 27, but staff and students surpassed that, raising $1,491.45.

This year, staff, students and even some parents who came out for the walk, wore cards indentifying the people they were walking for. Grade 3 students, inTerra Karp's class, made posters for the walk. The posters helped students make a connection to this amazing young man who did so much for cancerresearch. The posters also brought a visual awareness to the community, reminding everyone of Terry Fox, and his dream to one day defeat cancer.

On July, 10, 1980, Terry said, "Even if I don't finish, we need others to continue. It's got to go on without me."

The community of École Monseigneur Blaise Morand is doing its part to keep Terry's dream alive.
