Winter has arrived and in spite of the cold temperatures and snowy streets activities continue at the Action Now Seniors' Centre.

Evening Kaiser tournaments are now being held twice a month instead of once. It is hosted every first and third Friday at 7:30 p.m. and non-members are welcome. Nov. 21 winners were Margaret Fedun third, Jean Smith second and Margaret Kemp, first. Gordon Smith and Jim Beattie won the 12 no trump and Gordon Smith won the door prize.

Afternoon games continue with Canasta being played Mondays and Thursdays, Kaiser Wednesdays and Cribbage Fridays, all at 1:30 p.m.

The November-December Christmas luncheon will be held Dec. 10 at noon. A delicious meal will be prepared and served by Second 2 None catering service and all members are welcome. The charge for the meal will be $8, to be submitted by Dec. 1. This is always a popular event, so we hope the weather will be nicer than last year.

It is with great sadness we remember the following members who have passed away this past year - Jules Liebaert, Fred Blanchette, Katherine Swiston, Winnie Collins, Rudy Blanchette, William (Bill) Forrest, and Ina Dubnyk. Also our thoughts are with those members who are unable to join us due to illness. We wish them speedy recoveries.
