The Waseca skating, natural ice-skating, rink has been in use for some time. We hope the mild weather didn't affect the ice.
Sig and Ada Schimelfenig are enjoying their winter in Arizona. They enjoy the warm weather and many activities available where they live.
Besides skating, a few other activities are taking place in the village. On Tuesday evenings, a martial arts class, "bujutsu," is being conducted at the community hall from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Bert Young from Lloydminster is conducting the class. Those who are participating are really enjoying the workout and are urging others to come and participate.
On Tuesday evenings, an exercise class is taking place at the Waseca Community Centre. It is another enjoyable workout. Participants are pleased with the results of their participation. Try to drop in and stay to take part.
The Playground Committee will be meeting at Waseca Community Centre Thursday evening. Main topics of discussion will be plans for another fundraiser near Easter and plans for the work to be done on the playground.
By all reports, the Maidstone Figure Skating Carnival held this weekend was a great success. Brittany and Jasmine Hult have been faithful figure skaters all winter and, of course, took part in the carnival.
