Hi there! Brrr! Isn't it cold now? However we were so fortunate to have nice weather for Christmas. So I do hope you all had a lovely time of getting together with families .
Some of the residents certainly did. George and Nancy Milnthorp told me they spent Christmas with their son Marvin and Donna and family at Meadow Lake. The next day they had their grandson Brett and fiancée from Edmonton stay overnight. They all had such a nice visit.
Ida Baker also enjoyed supper with her daughter on Christmas Eve. Then Christmas Day was a lovely time having supper with her daughter and grandson and family. She said it was nice to see the little ones open their gifts. That's really what makes Christmas special, isn't it Ida?
Shirley Tebay travelled to Metinota to enjoy her Christmas with her son's family.
Cecile Dupuis was so glad to spend Christmas with her daughter and family at Delmas.
Ida Pasutto was happy to have her son and daughter in law travel from Vernon, B.C. to spend Christmas with her and family. She will be going back to Vernon with them but stopping in Calgary to see her grandson. Hope you enjoy your holiday, Ada, but don't stay away too long.
We in Tower II also enjoyed some entertainment and delicious meals in December.
Our Christmas supper in the lounge was Dec. 13 with turkey and all the trimmings. It was catered by Second to None, who always have such tasty fare.
Dec. 20 we had such great entertainment by the Country Cousins. Their singing and music are enjoyed by us all.
Then Dec 27 we had a potluck. There is always such a delicious variety of different food. Other than the tasty meal its just nice for us to get together and visit.
That's all for now. I'd like to wish everyone a happy, healthy New Year! See you next month.
