Are you looking for something thrilling to do this Halloween? Why not attend Fort Battleford's Ninth Annual Halloween Haunted Fort?

If you think Fort Battleford is only about history, think again. This is all about the creepy, crawly things that go bump in the night. We have developed this program to offer the community something a little different in the off season.

This is not a program for the faint of heart. In fact, we recommend this program for ages 13 and older. You never know what to expect from one building to the next. The historic buildings are transformed into Halloween haunted houses, designed to make even the bravest souls scream in fear.

The program is offered Saturday, Oct. 25 from 8 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are available at the visitor centre the night of the program. Once you have purchased your ticket for $14.70, you are welcome to hang out in the visitor centre where the Friends of Fort Battleford will have snacks and refreshments. When your ticket number is called, it is your turn to ride the horse-drawn wagon out to the Fort to begin this ultimate Halloween experience.

You will be dropped off at the first building where a greeter (you never know who will be there) will let you into the building. What will be behind the door? Are you brave enough to find out?

Once you have been through the first building, you will walk to the second building to experience yet another bone-chilling Halloween theme. And then the third and fourth buildings if you are brave enough to enter all four.

After seeing the four buildings inside the fort you can either catch a wagon ride back to the Visitor Centre or you can follow the lighted path and walk back - but stay together, you never know what or who will be there to scare you one last time!

Last year's Halloween Haunted Fort was attended by folks from as far away as Prince Albert, Saskatoon, Lloydminster, Edmonton and Regina. Every year this event gets bigger and better; so round up your bravest friends and family and come to Fort Battleford and Dare the Scare!

This program is made possible by Parks Canada's Saskatchewan Â鶹´«Ã½AV Field Unit, the staff at Fort Battleford, the Friends of Fort Battleford, Battlefords Tourism and the amazing efforts of countless volunteers. This program would not be possible without our volunteers.
