A City of North Battleford recreation grant and funding from Saskatchewan Lotteries has made it possible for operators of the Youth for Christ TWO42 drop-in centre to purchase recreation equipment.

TWO42, located at 13107 - 31st St. in North Battleford, is a division of Regina Youth of Christ's Jedidiah House. The centre began operation in December 2011.

According to a press release, Jedidiah House began in Regina in October 2010 on the request of the Ministry of Social Services based on Youth for Christ's success with U-turn Home, a program for youth aged 16 to 18 years.

Jedidiah House is for youth ages 12 to 16 who are under care of the Ministry of Social Services

"These youth are not criminals," the release states. "They come from homes where abuse and addictions have been a constant cycle for generations. Our mandate is to provide a safe place for these youth to live, grow, and develop."

Youth for Christ operates under the premise that all youth have potential.

"This is particularly important in our context because at times the behaviuor and dysfunction of the youth often hide their gifts and abilities and desire to succeed," the organization explains.
