Churches are often the centre of cultural preservation and community growth. Blaine Lake Gospel Chapel will be hosting a celebration April 29 in recognition of the church's 100th anniversary.
To celebrate such a milestone in the community, the congregation will gather to remember the past and prepare for the future. Pioneers, past pastors and other local church congregations are invited to partake in the historic celebration that will commence at 10:30 a.m. There will be a special church service followed by a cold plate potluck and fellowship.
Further celebrations will take place in August in conjunction with the Town of Blaine Lake and RM of Blaine Lake's centennial celebrations. Watch the Valley News for more updates.
