±á±«²Ñµþ°¿³¢¶Ù°ÕÌý— The Humboldt Emergency Medical Services (EMS) are eagerly preparing for their fifth annual Charity Texas Golf Scramble.
The Saturday, Sept. 5 golf tournament is open to 90 golfers in support of equipment needs for the Humboldt EMS, including fire, ambulance, and police services.
All three departments come together to plan and launch the event.
Mike Kwasnica, Humboldt’s fire chief, said previous tournaments have filled up by the end of August so teams are urged to register soon.
More volunteers and sponsors are still needed for the day, Kwasnica said, including hole sponsors and contest sponsors for specific holes. Golfers will be able to win prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin, and a hole-in-one.
The entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, cart, a burger lunch and supper.
Teams can register by calling the Humboldt RCMP detachment at 306-682-2535. The deadline to register is Aug. 31.
