Glenburn Regional Park closes for the season

Glenburn Regional Park is closing down for the season. Thanks to all the management and staff who worked so hard this summer to keep the park up and running. It was a great summer, only the odd weekend not so nice.

Gertie Sherman was guest of honour at a 94th birthday celebration at Maymont Hotel.

Glenburn Regional Park is closing down for the season. Thanks to all the management and staff who worked so hard this summer to keep the park up and running. It was a great summer, only the odd weekend not so nice. I'm sure all of the jammers would like to thank Ernie and Michelle who many times welcomed everyone into their seasonal site to have a great meal and great music.

Legends tickets are now available at $15. Look for the posters in the malls and post offices if you would like a ticket. Arrangements can be made to pick up tickets in North Battleford. Order tickets before they're all sold out. The event is happening Oct. 6. Door prizes are a night's stay at the Sheraton Cavalier in Saskatoon and a leaf blower, just in time for fall.

Seniors Week is coming soon. Watch for more information.

For anyone still having problems with Highway 376, remember Randy Weekes will be happy to hear your complaints. He can be reached at Box 1413, Biggar, SK SOK 0M0 or (306) 948-4880 or toll free at 1-877-948-4880 or email [email protected].

After my last article regarding the highway, there was a little work done on it. That weekend we were sitting at the Sherman residence and in one hour 10 big semi-trucks went by. Is there not another way these trucks can go? Going to the park this weekend, we saw the holes are back and some are very dangerous. Please, Mr. Weekes, do something about this soon before someone's vehicle gets wrecked or someone gets hurt.

A get-together happened at the Maymont Hotel to celebrate the 94th birthday of Gertie Sherman. Happy birthday, Gertie. Gertie enjoyed greetings and visits of family and friends. Cake and donuts were enjoyed by all.

Jean Sherman - that was an error on my part but I bet Jean didn't mind. Our dear friend Jean turned 75 this year. I still think you don't look over a day more than, well, maybe 65.
