Garden plots up for grabs

May everyone enjoy spring when it comes. We welcome each sign as it appears. The longer days of sunshine, the geese, the crows and even the gophers are attractive. It is hard to visualize the gardens for this year.

It is hard to visualize the gardens for this year. The plots are available and the list of them is waiting for anyone blessed with a green thumb.

Daffodils have been ordered and have arrived to brighten up a few homes before Easter. The proceeds of these go to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Some new residents are in our midst. May each person relish a new home in Tower 1.

Sincere sympathy to the family of Colleen Robinson, a former resident here, who recently passed away.

Some days have not been conducive to outdoor pursuits. We are grateful to have a lounge complete with games equipment. On March 16, 12 ladies got together and enjoyed an evening playing pool.

On March 28, we enjoyed a shuffleboard tournament. Winning in each event were: A Event - Joan Bannerman and Eva Osterman, Joyce Campbell and Amelie Murray; B Event - Betty Moore and Mae Johnson, Ruth Hrynewich and Minnie Pozdrowsky; C Event - Phyllis Maloney and Karen Taylor; Lillian Leduc and Ken Elliott; D Event - Winnie Hamm and Mary Zawada; Alice Horn and Isobel Jones.

Thank you to the scorekeeper, referees, and those who tended dinner preparations.

Take care, and enjoy the nice weather which may soon be upon us.
