Four recipients of the Saskatchewan Weekly Newspaper Association Junior Citizen of the Year award have been chosen.
The award is made annual in partnership with SaskPower and the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan.
Selected for the 2014 award are: Kaitlyn, Budzak, Regina, age 18; Morgan Fast, Swift Current, age 17; Summer Michel-Stevenson, Pelican Narrows, age 17; and Melissa Whelpton, Moosomin, age 17.
The four, chosen from 47 nominations received, will be presented with a $3,000 scholarship to further their pos- secondary education.
Lt. Gove. Vaughn Solomon Schofield will present the awards at a ceremony at Government House in Regina at 2 p.m. June 26.
