Kay was married to Harold Albert Greenslade Sept. 23, 1959 in All Saints Anglican Church. Harold and Kay, who had moved away, moved back to Maymont May 1, 1961, and lived on Kay's dad's farm. Their first child Eva was born Feb. 20, 1962. In the fall of 1963 they purchased the Oliver Andrew house in Maymont. Clifford was born May 23, centennial year 1967. After Kay's mom passed away, they remodelled and moved into Kay's mom's house. In 1969 they purchased the Vanderhagen Store and opened and operated a poolroom for four and a half years. During the summers, from 1964 to 1974, they operated the store and café at Glenburn Regional Park. Betty Lynn was born Jan. 20, 1969.

In the spring of 1975 a new roof was put on the old poolroom and July 17, 1975 they officially opened Greenslade's M & M Store of groceries, meats and hardware. In the spring of 1979 they took on the caretaking of the Maymont Memorial Hall which they had previously done from 1967 to 1969.

Kay has been very active, all her life, with church and community. She is a former 4-H member and leader. She was also correspondent for the News Optimist for 15 years. In 1979 she took on also reporting for the Big Country Voice, a Hafford paper.

We have been very lucky to have Kay in Maymont. Any time anyone needs help, she'd be the first one to help. We wish you many more years of good health and much happiness. Thank you, Kay.
