The monthly meeting was held June 6 to accommodate seniors who were planning to attend the SSFA Fun Day at St Walburg June 7. President Margaret MacEachern conducted the meeting. New paper towel dispensers will be arriving next week for the bathrooms. A number of Maidstone seniors attended the SSFA Fun Day hosted by the St. Walburg Seniors May 7. Some went to bowl and others to play cards. Margaret MacEachern and Jean Stewart got first prize in the cribbage. Door prize winners for Maidstone were Jean Stewart, Dorothy Schwartz, and Mona Bulloch. A delicious cold plate lunch was served by the St. Walburg ladies at noon and we were entertained by guitar player and singer Lou Getz. He played and sang all the oldies, which were enjoyed and brought back memories. There was time to take in, between games, some interesting stores in St. Walburg and we drove home in a well needed rain after a most enjoyable day.
