Cards were played at the Maidstone Drop In Centre Sept. 1 to start the fall activities. High score went to Debbie Sterling and low to Molly Den Ouden. Lunch was provided by Margaret MacEachern.
Bingo was played Sept. 3 with a good turnout. Callers were Joan Smith and Margaret MacEachern. Lunch was provided by Noelle Coulthard.
Calendars are out for September with exercises resuming Sept. 8 at 9 a.m. Yoga will start again on Tuesdays from 9 to 11 a.m.
There will be foot clinics at the Legion Hall at 9 a.m. every second Thursday of the month.
Drop In monthly meetings resumed Sept. 5. Shannon Smith, vice-president, chaired the meeting. A new memorial plaque was donated by Dorothy Harmel. Letters of thanks for donations from the Buckley and Hartman families were read. Changes to charging at A.G. Foods was mentioned.
Rugs at the centre were cleaned over the summer. Two locks for the inside doors are to be purchased. Painter for outside window frames is to be contacted.
A request was made that each member be allowed a guest at the Christmas party. The party is Dec. 14 and will feature a catered supper and program.
August, September, October potluck will be held Oct. 22.
The next meeting is Oct. 3 at 2 p.m.
