Battlefords Union Hospital (BUH) Foundation's Festival of Trees is approaching, with festivities planned from Friday, Nov. 30, to Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at the Gold Ridge Centre.
Ladies' Night kicks off the three day event Nov. 30 and organizers are promising an experience that won't be forgotten
"An eXtreme eXperience" is the theme for the 2012 Festival of Trees Ladies' Night. The chairs of the Ladies' Night committee, Deb Wohlberg and Joelle Gantefoer, point out, the theme describes the great opportunities the ladies will have to purchase tickets, bid or participate to win unique packages which include a number of "experiences" such as hotel stays, massages and a diamond ring.
Over the years, Ladies' Night has grown to be a popular event. This year, doors open at 5 p.m. with wine tasting and appetizers plus the first opportunity to view and bid on the decorated trees, wreaths and assorted seasonal items. Dinner will follow at 7 p.m. Fundraising efforts will be supported through live and silent auctions, as well as raffle prizes.
Guests will also be able to have a great memento of the evening with the purchase of a photograph of them and their girlfriends. Meagan Toews of O Liv Photography is the 2012 Ladies' Night official photographer, and will capture the fun of the evening. Ladies will finish the night dancing with music and a light show provided by Core Sound DJ Services.
Proceeds will help the BUHF enrich health care in BUH's emergency room and laboratory. Ladies Night sits tables of eight, and the committee will work out seating with smaller groups to make sure everyone has a great time. Tickets are $50 per person and charitable tax receipts will be issued on a portion of the ticket.
