It's very pleasant to hear robins singing at dusk. We have not seen as many birds this spring as usual and wonder if the Gulf of Mexico oil spill last fall has anything to do with the absence of birds this spring. It is good to see the tulips and iris growing, the scillas blooming and the trees budding.
Easter service was held at St. Paul's Forest Bank today with a good crowd attending. Five services a year are held at St. Paul's; the next one will most likely be in June.
Lynn and Murray Blyth are at home now after spending most of the winter in Arizona. They had a relaxing time visiting, playing golf and doing some touring. They were able to spend time with Murray's sister Mary and her husband Harold Holtby who also spend the winter in Arizona. On the way home they visited with Lynn's sister, Karen and her husband Rick Johnston who arrived in Arizona in late March. Some of Karen's and Rick's family travelled to Arizona to spend Easter with them.
Easter is always a special time for family gatherings and there were several in the district on Easter weekend. Lynn and Murray Blyth entertained their family for supper on Saturday evening.
