Fourteen members of the St. Walburg Royal Purple travelled to the 59th annual Royal Purple district meeting hosted by the North Battleford Royal Purple.

The district includes North Battleford, Cut Knife and St. Walburg and has 105 members. Thirty-nine of those members, along with Supreme Associate Royal Lady Margaret Brown of Lloydminster and Sandi Lougheed, Past Surpeme Honoured Royal lady and chair of the Nation Lodge Development Committee of Beechy were present. District Deputy Thelma Romphf of St. Walburg arranged the meeting.

A thank you goes out to the North Battleford lodge for a lovely day. Their membership may be small, but they are mighty.

St. Walburg's Dorothea Hocher has accepted the district deputy position for 2013-14.

Sandi's presentation was encouraging. Canada has lost a few lodges, but several have indicated they will be staring up again and new ones have shown interest. The lodges need energetic, faithful young members to keep this worthy organization going. Young women need to recognize what Royal Purple has done in their towns and provinces, and what a loss it is when they are forced to fold up because of declining members. Young members, we need you.

St. Walburg can boast of having the strongest membership in Saskatchewan. Let's exceed this by bringing in new members.
