Dedication ceremony held

A parent/child dedication service was held at Manitou Evangelical Free Church on May 15, with six children brought before God to be blessed.

A parent/child dedication service was held at Manitou Evangelical Free Church on May 15, with six children brought before God to be blessed. They were: Ava Wiens (daughter of Brent and Ria Wiens); Madison Lake (daughter of Brian and Kim Lake); Ruby Sirett (daughter of Kagen and Amy Sirett); Garrett Peters (son of Barry and Janice Peters); and Clara and Roy Wightman (daughter and son of Curtis and Rachel Wightman).

The Neilburg Co-operative Preschool held their graduation exercises on Thursday, May 12, in the Neilburg Community Hall. The 10 four-year olds graduating to kindergarten were: Cassidy Spence, Kailee Johnson, Evan Sawtell, Quinn Flicek, Ramsay Flicek, Sara Williams, Nick Hein, Tristan Ducherer, Wyatt Downie, and Kyle Whitney. The graduates spelled their names and sang several songs, led by their teacher, Kalie Dueck. Earlier in the year, Marlaina Wells was the teacher. The preschool also appreciated all the substitutes that filled-in when Marlaina was unable to continue in the middle of the year.

The ladies of the Marsden/Neilburg United Church held a well attended strawberry tea in the lower hall May 12. The bake sale was completely sold out. The lucky door prize winner was Holly Prystupa.
