National Culture Days have been discussed at different times with interested people taking part. This year's national Culture Days will take place Sept. 28 to 30. Ideas for such an event were recently discussed over a potluck supper held at the community centre.
A number of interested people met with contact person Michelle Brownridge and animateur Danica Lorer at the community centre Aug. 14 to discuss ideas. Both Michelle and Danica gave the group lots of information on ways to engage the public in the cultural life of communities.
Grace and Lorne Flewall of Sylvan Lake, Alta., recently spent a week visiting with Sandra Sutherland and their mother Mrs. Eva Sutherland of Pine Island Lodge.
The Waseca Communities in Bloom group have been busy preparing lily beds and planting some lily bulbs they have been given. Since this is an ongoing project, they would be pleased to have donations of lily bulbs. Phone Sandra at Waseca Village Office and leave a message if you have any lily bulbs to spare.
