The North Battleford Western Development Museum has a full slate of events planned for Friday to celebrate Culture Days.
The museum will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with admission free and complimentary coffee for attendees.
Regional Optimist columnist Danica Lorer will start off the activities at 10 a.m. with a storytelling workshop adapted for all ages. Using ribbons and beads, she will create a web of stories to explore culture and identity in the province. In addition to her work for the newspaper, Danica is also a freelance writer and photographer. She is a proud and active member of the Saskatchewan Writer's Guild, the Storytellers of Canada-Conteurs du Canada and the Saskatoon Storyteller's Guild.
From 1 to 4 p.m., the museum will have ongoing demonstrations on rope making, storytelling, spinning wool and from the Battlefords Quilters.
The Battlefords Art Club will also be on site to work on a fall scene for the WDM's portable wall dividers.
