Twenty-five members of the Rivers' Edge Quilt Guild met May 4 for the final event off the season.

Treasa, from Day's Diner in Meota, served a sumptuous meal that started the events of the evening.

During a brief business meeting there was discussion, prompted by Pat Downing, program co-ordinator, concerning planning for the next season. This was followed by show and tell and a trunk show featuring the work of three talented quilters. Irene Greer, Heather Hochbaum and Helen Wholberg presented their quilts for the pleasure of the guild members as well as serving as inspiration for those present.

Guild members will meet again Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. in the Don Ross Craft Room for the first business meeting of the new season, but will not have to suffer withdrawal symptoms until then. Work on individual projects will continue throughout the next few months on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of each week with the exception of a few days.

For more information please call Irene (guild president) at 937-3551 or Barb at 445-0486.
