The Maidstone Museum annual corn roast and antique show was held Labour Day.

The weatherman co-operated and gave up a warm, sunny, summer day.

There were eight antique vehicles on display from locally, North Battleford and Lloydminster. Peoples' choice went to Ron and Donna Sack from North Battleford with their 1958 Pontiac Parisienne. Competitor's choice went to Jason Schell of Lloydminster with his 1969 Pontiac GTO. Museum choice went to Paige Schamber with her 1956 Chrysler Fargo truck. The winners were given $25 gift certificates from Canadian Tire and all competitors and family members were given a free supper. Thank you to all of them and all who attended to make the afternoon a success.

The fine craft tables reported a successful day financially. The tables were provided free of charge to add to the event.

This event was well patronized by the local and out of town people.

The museum's regular hours are over for the summer but tours can be had by calling Mary Hinde at 306-893-4030, Dorothy Schwartz at 306-893-2663 or Judith Holmberg at 306-893-2565. The next event at the museum will be a spooky Halloween for younger children in the afternoon and teens at night.
