The Battlefords Photo Club met March 5.

Fifteen members were present for the indoor meeting. The group critiqued photos from the February photo of the month challenge, which was relationships/love/romance. The winning photo was taken by Janelle Cox entitled, A Grand Love. Each month the winning photo is showcased in Crandleberry's and the public is welcome to stop in and view it.

The theme for March's challenge is Abstract.

The club also discussed the Ag Photography Workshop run by Michael Raine, managing editor of the Western Producer, which a few members attended and enjoyed.

The club's main focus of the evening was Bokeh. Working together with different props and lighting stations as well as creating heart and circle shape filters for their cameras, the group learned how to incorporate this beautiful technique in their photos.

The group meets the first Tuesday of each month in North Battleford. The next meeting will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 2 at the Allen Sapp Gallery. Please park in the back, use the rear entrance and go downstairs to the meeting room. Feel free to come and see what the club is all about. Don't forget to bring your photo of the month as well as your camera.
