The weekend was a busy one in our village. The annual meeting of the community centre was held Friday evening.
Saturday morning saw an enthusiastic group of people working on the cemetery clean up.
A community garage sale was held at the centre Saturday with a large crowd viewing the wide variety of goods on sale.
We are all looking forward to hearing Country Blend, who are coming to entertain at Waseca Hall June 10 at 7 p.m. They sing a variety of music including western and gospel. They are presently touring the prairie provinces.
Tickets may be procured at Waseca village office or from Cheryl Perry, Renee Donovan or Barb Weisner.
Country Blend is being sponsored by Waseca Communities in Bloom, who are planning for more flowers in the village during this celebration year.
Bev Hult and members of her family took part in the Relay for Life held in Lloydminster on the weekend. Many of us were pleased to have her place luminaries in memory of friends.

The Rifle Association have received the rifles and ammunition and members are preparing for practice on their range to the north of town.
Residents of Waseca ought to bestir themselves in school matters, as the offer of a free school site by Mr. G.H. Greig is only open until the 18th of November.
The trustees of the "Walter" school district are suffering from an attack of "Red Tape," the trouble being a difference of opinion between the Department of Education and the ratepayers as to a suitable site for the school.
