This weekend the temperature went down to - 27 C. With a cold wind it felt like a January day. However, the temperature was up to -10 C Monday morning. It was much more inviting to be outside.

Carol service will be held at St. Paul's Church, Forest Bank Dec. 16 at 2:30 p.m. It has not yet been decided when the Christmas Eve service will be held. All are welcome.

Many snowbirds return home for Christmas. Murray and Lynn Blyth returned home last week from Yuma, Ariz., where they spend a good portion of the winter.

In late November, Yvonne and Kevin Pike, accompanied by their daughter Angie, her husband Richard Perkins and their children, Olivia and Noah, spent some time in Florida enjoying Disney World, the parks, swimming and sightseeing. Kevin and Richard also travelled to Tampa Bay to watch a football game. They returned Nov. 26.

Gully Gus says, "If you have tried to do something and failed, you are vastly better off than if you had tried to do nothing and succeeded!"
