On Sunday afternoon, Dec. 15, the Lutheran Church sponsored a carol sing at Waseca Hall. This is an annual event enjoyed by all who participate. A feature of the afternoon was music played by Ben and Amy Lenko of Waseca along with Amy's sister from Edam. They played violins and guitar featuring a medley of Christmas tunes.

Also featured was the Yellowhead Band who accompanied the carol singing. The two groups played together for part of the program.

A social time followed with coffee and lunch.

Waseca's quilting group held their Christmas party at their regular quilting day on Dec. 20. They enjoyed a potluck dinner and an unusual gift opening time. Some quilting was done during the day.

Returning from a week spent in Las Vegas, Nev. were Curtis Sutherland and Felicia Kelsch who arrived back Tuesday.

Also travelling were Doug and Christine Wilson who returned last week after spending a week travelling in Mexico.

Sunday, a short Christmas service conducted by Rev. Young was held in Waseca's historic Anglican Church. Carols were sung with music supplied by Lorna Chappell. Rev Yeung pleased the children and all present with a presentation of the Christmas story.

Following the service all enjoyed hot chocolate and lunch at the village office.
