An enjoyable afternoon was spent at Waseca Hall, Dec. 9, when Battle River Lutherans sponsored a carol service. Besides some inspiring readings, the Lutheran Choir and the Maidstone Choir sang beautifully. Some of the singing was accompanied by the Silvester family on the bells. Also in attendance were the Yellowhead Ramblers who played and accompanied some of the singing.
Renee and Morris Donovan and Sandra Sutherland were guests of Henry Snell and Eva Sutherland at the Pine Island Lodge Christmas supper Dec. 8. After a delicious meal, Santa Claus appeared, to spread Christmas cheer.
Sandra Sutherland will be taking Pine Island Lodge residents on a Christmas light tour, Dec. 17. They will be travelling in the handi-van.
Guests of Jim Maxwell and Jean McPherson on the weekend were their son Robbie and his friend Angela. Angela, a native of Spain, enjoyed her first time on snowshoes and skis. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
