Battlefords Union Hospital (BUH) Foundation's Festival of Trees is approaching quickly with events from Friday, Nov. 30 to Sunday, Dec. 2.
The Festival of Trees hosts the Carnival & Bazaar Sunday at the Gold Ridge Centre, North Battleford from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m
There are a variety of children's activities including face painting and a performance by Twink-elle the Clown, horse drawn wagon rides, pictures with Santa, a balloon from the Balloon Man and the opportunity to put your creativity to work with your favourite North Stars hockey player making decorations for a tree that will be donated to the Empty Stocking Fund. There is also a chance to decorate cookies and win a prize in contests that will be happening throughout the day. Lunch and snacks will be available all day at Santa's Sweet Shoppe.
In addition, Carnival & Bazaar is an occasion to view and bid on the beautifully designed trees, wreaths and numerous seasonal items. If you head to the North Pole, you will have a chance to view and bid on the delightful trees decorated by students from the community. There will also be a chance to win an item from the raffle table.
Funds raised will help BUHF enrich health care in BUH's emergency room and laboratory with the purchase of critical medical equipment.
